Dear Friends,
Welcome to our online campaign headquarters. I am a Democratic candidate in the 2008 election for the U.S. Senate in Virginia.
For too long, our government has been run by status quo politicians beholden to special interests. The good people people of Virginia deserve more and need a different kind of leadership they can trust will always be on their side.
I'm running to offer Virginians that choice of a leader who shares their values - a leader who will not give up when faced with a tough battle and will work tirelessly to provide real solutions that meet our very real needs by creating real opportunities for everyone.
My life journey has given me a first-hand understanding and compassion for the difficulties faced by our veterans readjusting to life back home after bravely serving our country and Virginia families' struggles of inadequate health care and skyrocketing costs. I share the same concerns of average working Americans dealing with the day to day struggles born out of the misguided policies of out of touch politicians who are only serving themselves - rather than the people who sent them to Washington.
Growing up in Virginia, I learned from my community that no challenge is too difficult and no obstacle too great when we band together. With your help, I will go to the Senate as a strong voice committed to putting the interests of Virginians above that of special interests and partisan bickering to accomplish real results for Virginia families.
I hope you will take the opportunity to explore this website and familiarize yourself with more information about my campaign, the issues and my record of service. I would appreciate your support in my effort to bring your voice to Washington and serve you in the U.S. Senate.
If you would like to keep in touch with me on the campaign trail, I encourage you to sign up for my email updates. Also, I urge you to get involved in our campaign, you can sign up as a volunteer and contribute through the links provided on this page.
Together, we can make a difference move away from "politics as usual" in Washington. I look forward to serving the people of this great state. Take care and God bless.
Sincerely,
